Payday Defined. The Company shall continue to pay all employees their pay cheques on the pay day presently in effect. In the event there is a Bank Holiday on their regular pay day, employee pay will be issued the day prior to the Bank Holiday. It is agreed that for the purpose of this clause, the pay day referred to shall be defined as Friday.

In the event that there is a reduction in the working force on the regular pay day employees will be issued their pay cheques on the day prior to the regular pay day. It is agreed that for the purpose of this clause, the pay day referred to shall be defined as Friday. Off shift employees will be entitled to receive their pay cheques by 12:00 noon on the Friday pay day.

  • Seniority Defined Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.
