Payment of Personal Leave on Termination. 18.5.1 Where the services of an employee are terminated by the employer for any reason (other than the employee’s serious or wilful misconduct) or by the employee on account of resignation, or by reason of the death of the employee, then the employee shall be paid the monetary value of his accumulated Sick leave up to 30 June preceding the date of his termination less Sick leave taken in the current year, or the monetary value of his unused Sick leave entitlement at the date of his termination, whichever is the lesser.

  • Accumulation of Personal Leave Unused personal leave accumulates from year to year to a maximum of 729.6 hours (or 768 hours if the employee normally works eight or more hours per day).
