Additional Personal Leave. Additional personal leave may be granted to an employee provided a mutually satisfactory agreement can be concluded between the Division and the employee.
Additional Personal Leave. Where paid personal leave credits are exhausted:
(a) Unpaid carer’s leave
(i) An employee is entitled to access up to two days unpaid carer’s leave on each occasion that the employee requires carer’s leave.
(ii) Xxxxx’s leave may be taken as a single unbroken period of up to two days or any separate periods as agreed between the employee and the CEO.
(iii) The CEO may grant an amount of unpaid leave in excess of the amount specified in clause 56.6(a)(i).
(b) An employee may apply for and the CEO may grant, after considering all relevant circumstances:
(i) additional personal leave on half pay, which cannot be converted to full pay; or
(ii) access to recreation leave, where an extended period of absence is involved, provided the period of leave taken will be deemed to be personal leave for all other purposes under the provisions of this clause.
(c) Additional leave utilised under clause 56.6 is subject to the notice and evidence requirements in clauses 56.7 and 56.8.
Additional Personal Leave. Where paid personal leave credits are exhausted:
Additional Personal Leave. (a) Subject to the requirements of sub-clauses 84.6 and 84.7 (notice and documentation requirements), an employee who has exhausted his/her entitlement to paid personal leave under sub-clause 84.3 is entitled to access up to two (2) days unpaid carer’s leave on each occasion that he/she requires carer’s leave . This may be taken as a single unbroken period of up to two (2) days or any separate periods as agreed between the employee and the CEO.
(b) After considering all relevant circumstances, the CEO may grant:
(i) an amount of unpaid leave in excess of the amount specified in paragraph (a);
(ii) additional sick/carer’s leave on half pay, which cannot be converted to full pay; or
(iii) access to recreation leave, where an extended period of absence is involved, provided the period of leave taken will be deemed to be sick/carer’s leave for all other purposes under the provisions of this clause.
(c) The CEO may approve additional sick leave on full pay to an employee who has exhausted all of his or her sick leave entitlement, having regard to established guidelines.
(d) The provisions of paragraphs (a) and (b)(i) apply to casual employees.
Additional Personal Leave. (a) Subject to the requirements clauses 57.7 (Notice) and 57.8 (Documentation), an employee who has exhausted his or her entitlement to paid personal leave is entitled to access up to 2 days unpaid carer’s leave on each occasion that he or she requires carer’s leave. This may be taken as a single unbroken period of up to 2 days or any separate periods as agreed between the employee and the CEO.
(b) After considering all relevant circumstances, the CEO may grant:
(i) an amount of unpaid leave in excess of the amount specified in paragrapgh 57.6(a).
(ii) additional sick/carer’s leave on half pay, which cannot be converted to full pay; or
(iii) access to recreation leave, where an extended period of absence is involved, provided the period of leave taken will be deemed to be sick/carer’s leave for all other purposes under the provisions of this clause.
(c) The provisions of 57.6(a) and 57.6(b)(i) apply to casual employees.
Additional Personal Leave. (a) Employees may access up to five additional days’ personal leave for each completed year of Continuous Service in the Country Teaching Program to access a recognised health facility or service which is located greater than 50 kilometres from the Employee’s residence. Part-time Employees will receive this entitlement on a pro rata basis.
(b) The five days’ personal leave may be accessed where the Employee is ill or injured or for the purposes of carer’s leave in accordance with clause 33 – Personal Leave of the Agreement.
(c) Where the additional five days are accessed, these days are to be debited before the Employees’ cumulative personal leave.
(d) The purpose of the leave must be taken into consideration for the purpose of determining whether the additional sick leave will be debited prior to the 2 non cumulative personal leave days in subclause 33.8.
(e) Such additional personal leave days will accrue for the Employee whilst based in a Country Teaching Program school.
(f) All accrued additional personal leave days are expunged when the Employee leaves the Country Teaching Program.
(g) In accordance with clause 33 – Personal Leave of the Agreement, Employees may be required to provide evidence that will satisfy a reasonable person.
Additional Personal Leave. All twelve-month employees may be granted one additional personal day in the case of emergency at the sole discretion of the Superintendent.
Additional Personal Leave. A teacher who has served for ten (10) consecutive years of full- time employment shall be entitled to an additional personal leave day during a school year. Moreover, after fifteen (15) consecutive years of full-time employment, a teacher shall be entitled to a second additional personal leave day during a school year. Any teacher who uses such additional day(s) shall reimburse the District an amount equal to the prevailing daily substitute teacher rate for each additional day of personal leave regardless of whether a substitute teacher is employed in connection therewith. Unused additional personal leave, as described heretofore, shall not be credited as accumulated sick leave, nor shall any unused day be carried over into the following school year as referenced in C1 above.
Additional Personal Leave being personal leave over and above the NES (8 days per annum for full time employees or pro rata for part time employees).
