Personal Leave Day. Each employee who has been continuously employed by the College for more than four
Personal Leave Day. After the unit employee completes his/her first 1,040 hours of state service, he/she shall be entitled to two (2) personal leave days to be used in accordance with normal requirements for annual leave usage. These leave days shall be credited to annual leave balances on October 1, 1988, and thereafter on each ensuing October 1.
Personal Leave Day. An employee may choose one workday as a personal leave day during each calendar year.
28.8.1 Full-time employees will receive eight (8) hours off for a personal leave day. Employees may use vacation leave, compensatory time or leave without pay to make up the difference between the employee’s normally scheduled shift and the eight (8) hours of personal leave pay. Part-time employees will receive hours off on the same prorated basis that their monthly schedule bears to full- time employment.
28.8.2 Employees will be permitted to take their selected day as the personal leave day if:
(a) The employee has received approval from their supervisor.
(b) The number of employees choosing a specific day off does not interfere with University operations or require the University to incur overtime.
28.8.3 Personal leave days may not be carried over to the next calendar year.
Personal Leave Day. Employees who have been continuously employed by the Employer for more than four (4) months will be entitled to choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day, eligible to be taken during the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
Personal Leave Day. A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.
B. The Employer will release the employee from work on the day selected for personal leave if:
1. The employee has given at least fourteen (14) calendar days’ written notice to their supervisor. However, the supervisor has the discretion to allow a shorter notice period.
2. The number of employees selecting a particular day off does not prevent the agency from providing continued public service.
3. For positions requiring backfill or relief, the release from duty will not cause an increase in agency costs due to the need to provide coverage for the employee’s absence.
C. Personal leave may not be carried over from one (1) fiscal year to the next.
D. Part-time and on-call employees who are employed during the month in which the personal leave day is taken will be compensated for the personal leave day in an amount proportionate to the time in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
E. Upon request, an employee will be approved to use part or all of their personal leave day for:
1. The care for family members as required by the Family Care Act, WAC 296-130;
2. Leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.8; or
3. Leave as required by the Domestic Violence Leave Act, RCW 49.76.
Personal Leave Day. Upon completion of the initial probationary period, a full-time employee will be eligible for one (1) day of personal leave. Personal leave will be scheduled in accordance with the work load requirements of the Employer, subject to Article 24.4(B). An employee's personal leave day can only be scheduled in four (4) hour increments. A day will be defined as the number of hours the employee is normally scheduled to work (i.e., 8, 10, or 12 hours).
Personal Leave Day. Employees may use their Personal Leave Day for emergency child care. An employee may be authorized to use increments of less than eight (8) hours of his/her Personal Leave Day for emergency child care.
Personal Leave Day. Each Benefit Eligible Employee shall be granted one Personal Leave Day during each calendar year. The Personal Leave Day shall be 8 hours of paid leave.
Personal Leave Day. Where an employee has used five (5) or fewer sick leave days from the commencement of a school year to its completion, the employee shall be granted one (1) day of personal leave to be taken during the following school year, subject to operational requirements.
Personal Leave Day. 1. Except for adult education teachers, upon application, teachers shall be granted one (1) personal leave day, at teacher-teaching-on-call cost.
2. Such leave shall not be attached to the Spring Break or Christmas Break.
3. These days are non-cumulative.
