Payment of Unused Accumulated Sick Leave. Any licensed employee leaving the district after twelve (12) consecutive years of service shall receive half a current substitute’s pay per day for each unused day of accumulated sick leave, except that those leaving and retiring from the district (as defined by KPERS) shall receive sixty percent (60%) of a current substitute’s pay per day for each unused day of accumulated sick leave. (2018) Staff members that have accumulated over 80 days of sick leave shall be paid annually for the days in excess of 80 at the prescribed rate of ½ of a substitute’s rate. Payment will be made by separate check, following the June Board meeting.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Unpaid Sick Leave The City Manager shall, upon the advice and recommendation of the City physician, grant unpaid sick leave for up to one (1) year upon application of any employee whose paid sick leave is exhausted. Any extension of such leave shall be subject to the Civil Service Board rules.

  • Accumulation of Sick Leave The unused portion of an Employee's sick leave shall accrue for her future benefit, up to a maximum of one hundred and thirty (130) days.
