Period of layoff notice. Unless otherwise agreed at the time of layoff, the period of notice of layoff shall be 14 days if the employment has continued for no longer than one year, and one month if the employment has continued for more than one year. There shall be no duty to provide an advance explanation of a layoff.

  • Notice of Layoff The Employer shall make every reasonable effort under the circumstances to provide affected employees with at least fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice prior to the contemplated effective date of a layoff.

  • Advance Notice of Layoff Unless legislation is more favourable to the Employees, the Employer shall notify Employees who are laid off with a written notice thirty (30) calendar days prior to the effective date of layoff.
