Common use of Permanent Schedule Changes Clause in Contracts

Permanent Schedule Changes. Employees’ workweeks and work schedules may be permanently changed with prior notice from the Employer. Overtime-eligible engineering employees will receive seven (7) calendar days’ written notice of a permanent schedule change. The day notification is given is considered the first day of notice. Failure to provide the proper notice under this provision will result in payment at one and one-half (1 1/2) times their base rate for the duration of the notice period not to exceed eight (8) hours. This payment will not be paid for any portion of the permanent schedule change that overlaps the employee’s original schedule and/or shift. Adjustments or extensions in the hours of work of an employee’s daily work schedule and/or shift do not constitute a permanent schedule change.
