Common use of Personal and Family Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal and Family Leave. An employee will be granted leave of absence with pay to a maximum of three (3) working days a year for purposes of attending to the issues of the employee's family. All such paid leave to be deducted from the employee's accumulated sick leave credits. Requests for leave are to be forwarded to the Chief or Deputy Chief in writing through the officer in charge. All requests must state the relationship for which the leave is required.‌
