Common use of Personal Emergency Clause in Contracts

Personal Emergency. Up to four (4) days of paid time off per incident will be allowed for emergencies. An emergency will be defined as a crisis over which the individual has no control, and cannot be attended to during non-school hours. The employee will be required to state the reason for the leave. The Superintendent or his/her designee will decide whether or not the leave is approved. The decision will not be subject to the grievance process.
