Personal Life Organizing Bonus Time. All full-time employees who have completed their probationary period shall be entitled to a four (4) hour block of paid time once per month for personal business which must be conducted during the workweek, such as attending at dental or medical appointments. This benefit is also available to part-time employees on a pro-rated basis. Personal Life Organizing Time cannot be accumulated nor carried over from month to month. Medical, dental or other personal appointments during working hours, outside this four (4) hour block of time, will be either Health/Sick Leave time or without pay, at the employee's option. Any appointments or commitments which require the employee to be away from work require the approval of the employee's supervisor.

  • Additional Personal Leave Where paid personal leave credits are exhausted:

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Employee Organization Leave Notification of a unit member's intent to take Employee Organization Leave shall be submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources no later than thirty (30) days prior to the starting date of the leave. In addition to the leave benefits granted to representatives of employee organizations by law, unit members on employee organization leave shall not accrue vacation credit, nor submit time reports for vacation leaves. Sick leave shall continue to accrue and sick leave time reporting shall be processed through the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. AFT shall notify the District no less than sixty days (60) prior to the return to service of a unit member on Employee Organization Leave.

  • Additional Life Insurance All eligible employees shall be permitted to purchase term life insurance in addition to the amount provided by the Board in paragraph C. of this Article.

  • Sick/Personal Leave Leave granted to the teacher for sick, personal or bereavement reasons.
