Common use of Personal Reasons Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal Reasons Leave. Employees shall be granted up to six (6) days in each fiscal year for personal reasons. When used, these days shall be charged to available sick leave. Leave for personal reasons shall not be cumulative. Employees shall not be required to give reasons for these days, except that the leave is for “personal reasons”. Such leave must be requested in writing twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the day the employee wishes to take off, except in unusual circumstances.
