Common use of Personal Reasons Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal Reasons Leave. Employees may apply for and be granted a leave of absence without pay for such reasons as vacations, continuation of absence not covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act, or other matters not specifically covered by the Agreement. Employees shall give four (4) weeks’ written notice of their request for such leave of absence, except in cases of emergency. All such Personal Reasons Leaves of Absence require specific approval and shall not exceed twelve (12) months in duration from the last day worked.
