POLICE HEADQUARTERS. The central police headquarters for the Department shall be located, initially, in the existing headquarters of the North Lebanon Township Police Department. The space shall be leased by North Lebanon Township to the Commission, under such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by and between the North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors and the Commission. The existing North Cornwall Township Police Department shall be used as a substation for the regional department. The space shall be leased by North Cornwall Township to the Commission, under such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by and between the North Cornwall Township Board of Supervisors and the Commission. The location of the headquarters, or any satellite locations, shall be subject to change from time to time as the Commission may determine.

POLICE HEADQUARTERS a. The Chief shall ensure that there are procedures in place to regulate the use of Police Headquarters and any other premises used by the Service.
POLICE HEADQUARTERS. SECTION A. The Parties agree that the Department’s headquarters shall serve as headquarters for all police services provided by the Department. Xxxxxxx agrees that the costs for the operation of the headquarters building are contained within costs structure for services as discussed herein. SECTION X. Xxxxxxx recognizes that under the PMRP Agreement, the governing bodies of at least two thirds of the current Participants must approve Xxxxxxx’x participation in the PMRPC. Following that approval, and upon the regionalization of the Xxxxxxx Township Police Department, the Department will provide comprehensive full-time police protection services within Xxxxxxx Township. The Department will incorporate the jurisdictional limits of Xxxxxxx into the patrol zones assigned and covered. . SECTION B. The Department Chief of Police shall allocate among the appropriate staff of the Department the responsibility to provide police protection services in Xxxxxxx, including without limitation patrol coverage, criminal investigations, court hours, speed enforcement, administrative services, upervisory services, detective services and any specialty services that may be necessary to the police protection of Xxxxxxx. SECTION C. The Department will hire all current Xxxxxxx Township police officers who shall become members of the Department with the duties, rank and benefits of Patrolmen. The former Barrett police officers hired by the Department will be provided salary and benefits commensurate with their original hire date by Xxxxxxx, and they shall become members of the Department’s union and shall be subject to the terms of the existing Department’s union collective bargaining contract. All officers hired from Xxxxxxx will be provided uniforms and equipment by the Department. SECTION D. The Xxxxxxx Township Chief of Police shall assume the duties and rank of the Department’s Administrative Lieutenant within the criminal investigations unit of Department. SECTION X. Xxxxxxx shall be solely and separately responsible for directly reimbursing former Xxxxxxx Township Police Officers for any accrued sick time under the terms and conditions of the Xxxxxxx Township Police Department’s collective bargaining contract in place at the time of regionalization. Former Xxxxxxx Township Police Officers may transfer up to 80 hours of accrued sick time to PMRPC and Xxxxxxx shall reimburse PMRPC all hours of accrued sick time transferred for each former Xxxxxxx Township Police Officer.   • Headquarters 11.1 This article applies to employees who do not attend at or work at or work from any permanent ministry facility in the course of their duties, but for whom a permanent ministry facility or other place is designated as an employee’s “headquarters” for the purposes of the provisions of this Central Collective Agreement and of various allowances which require a headquarters to be specified. 11.2 A ministry may designate a headquarters when an employee is initially appointed to a position, or when a position is filled by an employee in accordance with Article 6 (Posting and Filling of Vacancies or New Positions), Article 7 (Pay Administration), Article 20 (Employment Stability) of this Central Collective Agreement. All job postings, notices and offers in relation to positions covered by this article shall include the designated headquarters for the position. This designation shall be the location considered by the ministry to be the most convenient for the efficient conduct of the ministry’s business, having regard to the ministry’s projection of the location of the employee’s work assignments for a period of two (2) years. It is not a requirement that the designated headquarters be a facility whose functions are related to the work to be performed by the employee, and the employee’s residence may also be designated as his or her headquarters. The Employer will supply to the Union, by December 30 of each year, a current list of headquarters designations for employees covered by this article. 11.3 By mutual agreement in writing between the ministry and an employee, a new headquarters may be designated for an employee at any time, and by mutual agreement in writing between the ministry and the employee, a temporary or seasonal headquarters may be designated for a stated period, following which the previously designated headquarters will be reinstated unless it has been changed in accordance with this article. 11.4 A ministry may change the headquarters of an employee covered by this article, if: (a) the employee’s residence has been designated as his or her headquarters and he or she subsequently initiates a change of residence; or (b) a ministry facility which has been designated as the employee’s headquarters ceases to operate as a ministry facility; or (c) the employee is assigned to a work location or work locations at least forty (40) kilometres by road from his or her existing headquarters, and it is anticipated that the employee will continue to work in the area of the new work location or work locations for at least two (2) years. 11.5 Where a ministry exercises its right to change the headquarters of an employee otherwise than by mutual agreement with the employee, the following procedure will apply: (a) The ministry shall first give notice to the employee of its intent, and shall consult with the employee to determine the employee’s interests and the employee’s preferences as to the new headquarters location. (b) The ministry shall determine the new headquarters location in a way which is equitable to both the employee and the ministry. (c) The employee shall be given three (3) months’ notice of the change in designation of the headquarters. 11.6 Where it is necessary to identify which one or more of a group of employees is to be assigned to a new headquarters, the employees to be reassigned shall be identified by considering the qualifications, availability, and current location (home, closest facility and work location). Where qualifications, availability and location are relatively equal, length of continuous service shall be used to identify the employee to be reassigned. 11.7 Employees who relocate their residences because of a change in headquarters, other than a temporary or seasonal change, in accordance with this article, shall be deemed to have been relocated for the purposes of the Employer’s policy on relocation expenses.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.

  • Access to Personnel Records Upon written request to the Chief of Police, an employee shall have access to the employee's records during normal office hours of the records custodian. Such access to personnel records shall be within a reasonable time of said request. Such request shall not interfere with the employee's regularly scheduled working hours. Review of the records shall be made in the presence of the Chief or the Chief’s designated representative.
