Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles acting as governing body or their designee.
Board of Supervisors. “Board of Supervisors” shall mean the elected (or duly appointed) members of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, as governing body of the County and proprietor of the Airport through its Airport Director or designees, as appropriate.

Board of Supervisors. Right to Final Decision (limited to alleged violations of department policy or practice) With regard to alleged violations of department policy or practice, the Arbitrator's decision and award provided for in Step 5 shall be final and binding on the parties unless the Board of Supervisors, by majority vote, votes to set aside the decision and award of the Arbitrator within forty (40) days from the date of the issuance of the award and decision of the Arbitrator. In such event, the Board of Supervisors shall deliberate the grievance and, within a reasonable period of time (not to exceed forty (40) days), shall arrive at a decision which shall be final and binding. During such deliberations the County Administrator, or his designated representative, and the Association Representative shall make their presentations to the Board of Supervisors. Where possible, such presentations shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the issuance of the Arbitrator's award. In the event the Board sets aside the decision and award of the Arbitrator, the County shall pay the Arbitrator's fee. Each party to the arbitration will still be responsible for their own expenses and costs of arbitration.
Board of Supervisors. If the grievance or complaint is not resolved under Step 4, it may be appealed to the Board of Supervisors. Such appeal shall be filed in writing with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within ten (10) working days from the time a decision was rendered in Step 4. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall advise the Board of the grievance or complaint appeal within fifteen (15) working days. As soon as practicable thereafter, the Board of Supervisors shall hear the grievance or complaint in accordance with the rules for hearing established by the Board, and make a written decision which shall be binding on all parties involved.
Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors may provide administrative and analytical services as requested by the Commission. The costs for these services will be billed to the Commission based on actual hours worked using the current hourly rate.
Board of Supervisors. Decisions reached in mediation-arbitration shall be moved to the level of the Board of Supervisors and shall be promptly agendized and referred to the Board of Supervisors for appropriate action.
Board of Supervisors. Refers to the County of San Bernardino Board of Supervisors sitting as the governing body of the District. County – Refers to San Bernardino County, a separate legal entity that contracts with the District to provide certain administrative functions to the District. Director of Human Resources – Refers to the incumbent in the County’s Director of Human Resources position. It also includes any person who has been designated as acting Director of Human Resources, employees acting for the Director during absence, and/or employees delegated authority approval on a regular basis by the Director of Human Resources. Proof of Service - When documents are mailed to an employee, it shall be sent to the employee’s current address of record. For the purpose of this procedure, notice by mail shall be deemed to have been completed on the fifth calendar day following deposit of notice with the United States Postal Service, unless the party can establish that notice was not actually received as a result of circumstances beyond the party’s control. Service Hours – Refers to paid hours during an employee’s regular tour of duty, up to 112 hours per pay period. Time without pay and overtime hours do not count as service hours.
Board of Supervisors. 9.5.1 The Joint Venture shall have a board of supervisors which shall consist of 3 supervisors in total among whom 1 shall be appointed by Party A, 1 shall be appointed by Party B and 1 shall be appointed by the representatives of employee supervisor. The board of supervisors shall have one chairman who shall be the supervisor appointed by Party B. The supervisors shall be replaced as per the tenure of the chairman of the board of directors.
9.5.2 The board of supervisors shall:
(1) check the finance of the joint venture;
(2) supervise the directors’ and the general manager’s performance in case their performance violates the laws, the regulations or the articles of association;
(3) require the directors and the general manager to correct their acts in case their acts damage the interests of the joint venture;
(4) propose to convene the interim meetings of directors;
(5) perform other duties specified in the articles of association; and
(6) attend the meetings of directors without voting rights.
9.5.3 The board of supervisors shall hold the meeting of supervisors at least once a year. The meeting notice shall be delivered to all the supervisors in writing 10 days prior to the commencement of the meeting. The decisions made in the meeting of supervisors shall take effect unless and until approved by more than a half of the supervisors.
Board of Supervisors. Refers to the County of San Bernardino Board of Supervisors sitting as the Board of Directors of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (County Fire). County – Refers to San Bernardino County, a separate legal entity that contracts with County Fire to provide certain administrative functions to County Fire. Continuous Service – Refers to the total length of service from an employee’s beginning hire date in a regular position with no separation from County Fire employment. County Fire – Refers to San Bernardino County Fire Protection District. Human Resources Director or designee – Refers to the incumbent in the County Human Resources Director position. It also includes any person who has been designated as acting Human Resources Director, employees acting for the Director during absence, and/or employees delegated authority approval on a regular basis by the Human Resources Director.
