POPI ACT. 22.1. The Purchaser confirms that he/she understands that the purpose for the collection and/or distribution of his/her personal information is to conclude a sale agreement which the Purchaser wants to enter into with the Seller as well as the Seller to assist with a bond application and to administer the sale process.

The Parties agree that they may obtain personal information during the duration of the Agreement for the fulfilment of the rights and obligations contained herein and may further only process such information for the specific purposes of complying with their obligations in terms of this Agreement. • The Parties agree that if personal information will be processed for additional purposes beyond the original purpose for which it was obtained, explicit written consent must be obtained beforehand from the other Party. • Performing the obligations as set out in this Agreement, the Parties shall at all times: ▪ comply with the provisions of all laws, which regulate the protection of personal data, including but not limited to the Protection of Personal Information Xxx 0000; ▪ comply with all laws, policies, and procedures relating to the protection, storage, handling, privacy, processing and retention of data as well as the destruction of data, including personal data; ▪ ensure that it shall not sell, offer for sale or dispose of or attempt to dispose of or create or allow the encumbrance over any personal data; ▪ ensure that it does not disclose personal data other than in terms of this Agreement; ▪ ensure that it processes data for only the express purpose for which it was obtained; ▪ ensure that it has all reasonable technical and organisational measures in place to protect the personal data from unauthorised access and/or use.
POPI ACT. 8.1 The Service Provider is a qualified entity in the business sector and therefore promotes mutual respect as well as fair and accurate business practice.

The sellers and the purchasers hereby consent to the developer / estate agent and conveyancing attorney and their staff processing our personal information for the purpose of attending to the property transfer, finalising the finances, disclosing current mortgage bond account details to facilitate the issuing of bank guarantees, attending to the necessary pay-out which would require my bank account details and arranging for the lodgement and registration of the transfer in the Deeds office. POPIA has become law, with the effective date of compliance set as 1 July 2021. Welgemoed Primary School (WPS) has always taken the protection of personal information seriously and we are committed to compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. As part of this implementation and in order to be POPIA compliant, we kindly request permissions as detailed in the consent forms under point 1 and 2 listed below. Please take note: The consent forms are based on FEDSAS (Federation of Associations of Governing Bodies of South African Schools) proposed templates and viewed as a standard for governing bodies and schools related to POPIA.
