Pre-Construction and Design Services. Pre-Construction and Design Services shall be paid as a lump sum cost for the performance of pre-construction services, completing the design services, and preparing the GMP Proposal as described below. The Pre-Construction and Design Services Lump Sum Cost shall include completion of all design stages (in preparation of the GMP development) in addition to the final design as required by the Contract Documents, as well as design support during construction, as required. The Pre-Construction and Design Services Lump Sum Cost shall be in the amount of Dollars ($ ). The Pre-Construction and Design Services Lump Sum Cost amounts shall include the costs for those employees of Design-Builder performing pre-construction services, design services and design services during construction and shall be calculated on the basis of the hourly rates set forth in Exhibit “G” to this Agreement, as approved by the District. The Pre- Construction and Design Lump Sum Cost amount is inclusive of all fees. The Design-Builder shall submit monthly invoices based on earned value for up to and including the lump sum amounts. Pre-Construction and Design Services. For the purpose of providing progress payments for the performance of the Services under this Agreement, Design-Builder will submit monthly invoices on a schedule stipulated by the District. The District retains the right to withhold progress payments, after consultation with Design-Builder, if, in the opinion of the District, the percentage of the contract billed significantly exceeds the percentage of the contract completed as monitored by the project's progress and expenditure tracking system.
Pre-Construction and Design Services. Design-Builder shall not perform any Services hereunder until receipt of written Notice to Proceed from the District, and shall begin performance of the Services within ten (10) business days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The term of the Pre-Construction and Design Services phase of the Agreement shall begin upon performance of the Services hereunder, and shall, unless extended by the District, or unless sooner canceled or terminated pursuant to the provisions hereof, the Services phase of this Agreement shall expire on upon successful completion of such Services.

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES The Pre-Construction Phase shall be deemed to commence upon the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed with Pre-Construction Phase Services issued by Owner and shall continue through completion of the Construction Documents and procurement of all major Subcontractor agreements. Contractor is not entitled to reimbursement for any costs incurred for Pre-Construction Phase Services performed before issuance of the written Notice to Proceed.   • Design and Construction In complying with the requirements of the specification both with respect to arrangement and detail, design is to conform to the best current engineering practice. Each of the several parts of the material is to be of the maker’s standard design provided that this design is in general accordance with the specification. The essence of design should be simplicity and reliability in order to give long continuous service with high economy and low maintenance cost. Particular attention should be paid to internal and external access in order to facilitate inspection, cleaning and maintenance. The design dimensions and materials of all parts are to be such that they will not suffer damage as a result of stresses under the most severe conditions. Fully detailed specifications of the several parts of the material are to be submitted describing particularly the materials to be used. The materials used in the construction of the material are to be of the highest quality and selected particularly to meet the duties required of them. Mechanisms are to be constructed to avoid sticking due to rust or corrosion. Workmanship and general finish are to be of the highest class throughout. All similar parts of the material are to be interchangeable. All equipment is to operate without undue vibration and with the least possible amount of noise and is not to cause a nuisance. All equipment is to be designed to minimize the risk of fire and any damage, which may be caused in the event of fire. The equipment is also to be designed to prevent ingress of all vermin, accidental contact with live parts and to minimize the ingress of dust and dirt. The use of materials, which may be liable to attack by termites or other insects, is to be avoided.

  • Coordination of Design and Construction Contract Documents 5.5.1 Review model(s), Drawings, Specifications and other Construction Documents as they are developed by A/E during the Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents design phases of the Project.

  • Routine Maintenance, Construction, and Repair The NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner may interrupt interconnection service or curtail the output of the Small Generating Facility and temporarily disconnect the Small Generating Facility from the New York State Transmission System or Distribution System when necessary for routine maintenance, construction, and repairs on the New York State Transmission System or Distribution System. The NYISO or the Connecting Transmission Owner shall provide the Interconnection Customer with five Business Days notice prior to such interruption. The NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner shall use Reasonable Efforts to coordinate such reduction or temporary disconnection with the Interconnection Customer.

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE FEE The Pre-Construction Phase Fee is the total compensation payable to Contractor for the performance of Pre-Construction Phase Services, except for Additional Pre-Construction Phase Services approved in advance and in writing by Owner. The Pre-Construction Phase Fee shall be a lump sum amount based on the AACC established in this Agreement.

  • Construction and Maintenance There are on-going maintenance, renovation and construction projects taking place in and around the residences. The work typically takes place during regular business hours, but may begin earlier or extend into evenings or weekends. On-going construction or renovation projects will continue through midterm and final exam periods. The University will take measures to ensure that prudent construction practices are followed, but there may be noise, dust and temporary interruption of some services. Residents may be required to temporarily or permanently relocate to facilitate construction or renovation to their residence area. There will be no compensation or reduction to your residence fees due to disruption and/or relocation.
