Preliminary Drainage Report. Consultant shall: • Prepare a drainage report that quantifies storm runoff for both the PROJECT 10- and 100-year storm events. • Access, quantify, and address roadway storm water surface elevation, velocity, and its adherence to local and regional drainage standards with the narrative of such findings memorialized in the drainage study. • Provide recommendation(s) on viable treatment(s) to address drainage related issues and identify overall compliance with the Hydrologic Criteria and Drainage Design Manual. • Provide recommendation(s) on the need for possible upgrade in the drainage system for future CIP deliverable.
Preliminary Drainage Report. 19 CONSULTANT will conduct a preliminary drainage investigation to determine the existing drainage patterns 20 and storm drain facilities in the project area, including existing channels/ditches, pipe locations, sizes, local 21 rainfall intensities, and flows. This information will be obtained through a combination of field reconnaissance, 22 Caltrans/County records and prior reports prepared for the project. After reviewing the existing drainage 23 conditions, on-site hydrologic analyses will be conducted in accordance with Caltrans and County standards 24 for the post-project condition, emphasizing the primary objective of maintaining existing flow patterns and runoff 25 amounts. 26 The on-site analyses will include identifying where new facilities are needed and where existing facilities can 27 be reused. For new facilities and existing facilities that will be impacted by the project, CONSULTANT will 28 develop drainage boundaries for the areas within the project limits, develop future flows for each facility based 29 on Rational Method calculations, and laying out the new/retrofitted storm drain facilities. Preliminary Drainage Report. The Consultant will conduct a Preliminary Drainage Report to determine existing hydrology and drainage systems within the project area. The impact of the project improvements will be documented and recommendations for conceptual drainage improvements will be included in a technical report. The planning level cost estimate for drainage improvements will also be included in the report. This scope of services includes only a planning level study of any modifications and does not include design level calculations.
