Pricing Overview. Key Differentiators The full cost of implementing and sustaining an online payment solution can be difficult to assess, given that many vendors use different pricing models for very different offerings. It is not always easy to perform an apples- to-apples comparison between vendors offering only online payment services and those that offer a fully integrated suite of payments, accounting, and other value-added services. As mentioned above, KEV’s School Cash Suite offers a comprehensive set of solutions to track every dollar flowing through schools. It fully integrates online payments, fee management, digital forms, and school-level accounting – ensuring that schools and school districts have the most secure and efficient management possible of their School Activity Funds. KEV has adopted a cost-effective pricing model for our School Cash Online payment solution, comprised of a $500 per school annual fee and a variable rate of 4.5% plus $0.35 per transaction, which includes merchant service processing fees. (This is in addition to the annual costs for the required School Cash Accounting module). This model, with its low upfront fee, is the most cost-effective, especially initially when parent adoption rates are low. The payment processing fee can be absorbed by the district or added to the cost of items purchased online using our Auto Cost Recovery feature (highlighted within the Value Add section of this RFP response). Auto Cost Recovery embeds the transaction fees in item prices and automatically establishes a unified price for items, regardless of whether parents are paying online or via cash and check. We find that the convenience of online payments – especially when there is no separate convenience fee charged to parents – drives higher parent online usage rates, thus lowering the volume of payments made via cash or check. This means fewer payments being sent to the schools in student backpacks and through the hands of teachers, coaches, and bookkeepers (thereby reducing risk of fraud, theft, and mismanagement due to cash flowing through schools). We believe it’s possible to have all parents paying online, completely removing cash from schools. And we’ve accomplished just that with many of our clients, who are seeing 90%-100% parent adoption rates. We do this by charging districts the flat annual rate to ensure sustainability and predictability and by offering an easy way to recoup the processing fees via Auto Cost Recovery. Pricing Overview. If the standard package is chosen, this price will be $15 per child that is participating in the decorating. If the deluxe package is chosen, the price will be $20 per child. The final balance for the party will be determined based off of the number of guests that are participating given to us by the party parent.
