Common use of Probationary Period - New Employees Clause in Contracts

Probationary Period - New Employees. All new employees shall be considered probationary employees until they complete a probationary period of one (1) year. The Union shall not grieve any matter relating to the probationary employee. The probationary period is to be used to test further the ability of the employee to perform the required duties of the position successfully. If the employee fails to meet the required standards of performance or conduct, he is to be dismissed.
