Probationary Period - New Employees. All new employees shall be on probation for a period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days. Employment during this probationary period and the recommendation for employment beyond this probationary period shall be vested solely in and at the discretion of the School District. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the employee shall attain permanent status subject to the following: 1. Employees on permanent status may be dismissed only for cause. 2. The School District shall follow a course of progressive discipline as appropriate for the offense. 3. The School District has the right to impose disciplinary actions on employees for just cause including suspension and dismissal.
