If the immediate supervisor has reason to question the leave under C-1c of this Article, he/she shall inform the Superintendent and the employee to determine the validity of the leave. c. If the employee has any doubt concerning the validity of the request, or if he/she wishes a definite answer before taking the leave, he/she shall discuss the reason with his/her supervisor. d. The decision of the immediate supervisor is final unless an appeal to the Superintendent is initiated by the employee immediately upon receipt of the immediate supervisor’s decision. e. The filing of a false application shall be considered as grounds for disciplinary action by the Board of Education in such form and manner as the Board may deem advisable.

The unit member shall make written application to the Superintendent or their immediate Supervisor twenty-four (24) hours in advance on forms provided by the Board of Education. b. If the Superintendent or their immediate Supervisor has reason to question the validity of the reason for which the leave is requested, he shall discuss this with the unit member to determine the validity of the unit member's reason for leave. c. If the unit member has any doubt concerning the validity of the request, or if he/she wishes a definite answer before taking the leave, he/she shall discuss the reason with the Superintendent or their immediate Supervisor. d. Personal leave ordinarily shall not be granted to any unit member during the period of one (1) day before or one (1) day after any school holiday or dismissal day. Personal leave shall not be taken to extend a vacation, holiday or school break. Personal leave shall not be accumulated from one (1) year to another. e. The filing of a false application shall be considered grounds for disciplinary action by the Board of Education in such form and manner as the Board may deem advisable. f. Personal leave shall be taken only for necessary personal or business matters, not for recreational purposes.
