Paid Personal Leave definition

Paid Personal Leave means personal leave as prescribed by the NES for which an Employee is paid their Ordinary Rate of Pay.

Examples of Paid Personal Leave in a sentence

  • Bereavement leave may be lengthened by use of vacation leave, Family Responsibility Time (FRT), Paid Personal Leave (PPL) or leave of absence without pay.

  • Paid Personal Leave (PPL) usage: PPL is “no fault” leave, meaning it may be used for any purpose.

  • Paid Personal Leave may not be taken to work for another employer, unless approved by the Superintendent as being in the best interest of the school district.

  • Paid Personal Leave days are not cumulative, as such, but only as sick leave days.

  • Except in an emergency, the request for Paid Personal Leave must be submitted to the worksite administrator three work days prior to the beginning date of the leave.

  • Paid Personal Leave shall not be used during the week prior to the FCAT reading, math, and science being administered, or on any day in which the FCAT, including FCAT writing, is being administered, excluding make up days, without the specific approval of the principal.

  • Paid Personal Leave, including the "no reason given" day, may not be taken for employment elsewhere.

  • If the Executive is unable to perform the essential functions of his position due to illness, injury, or incapacity for a period of more than twelve weeks following the use of all available Paid Personal Leave (“PPL”), the compensation otherwise payable to him under this Agreement shall cease and the Corporation may terminate his employment unless the Board determines otherwise or the Executive is able to perform the essential functions of his position with reasonable accommodation.

  • Paid Personal Leave, including the "no reason given" day, must be requested in advance.

  • The Executive shall receive vacation, sick and personal holiday leave pursuant to the Corporation’s Paid Personal Leave Policy (“PPL”) under the schedule for an Executive of the Company, which is attached hereto as Exhibit 2 and incorporated herein by reference.

  • Personal Leave means leave provided for:

  • Personal Law means the law of inheritance and succession as applicable to the individual Unit Holder.

  • Medical leave means leave from work taken by a covered individual that is made neces-

  • maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.

  • FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.

  • Personal harassment means any improper behaviour by a person employed by the Employer that is directed at and offensive to another person employed by the Employer which the first person knew or ought reasonably to have known would be unwelcome. Personal harassment comprises objectionable conduct, comment, act or display that demeans, belittles or causes personal humiliation or embarrassment to the recipient.

  • Personal liability means personal liability for a debt, liability, or other obligation of an organization which is imposed on a person that co-owns, has an interest in, or is a member of the organization:

  • Annual Leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.

  • paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Family leave means a leave of absence from employment for one (1) of the following reasons: (1) The serious illness of an eligible employee; or (2) the serious illness of a member of an eligible employee’s immediate family. Family Leave, by itself or in combination with statutory Parental Leave (as opposed to contractual parental leave), may not exceed twelve (12) weeks in a twelve (12) month period beginning with the first day either type of leave is used. Leave taken under this Agreement will be credited against any such statutory entitlement to the full extent permitted by law.

  • Farmworker Household means a household of one or more persons wherein at least one member of the household is a Farmworker at the time of initial occupancy.

  • FMLA means the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, as amended.

  • Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.

  • Personal Pay means additional pay granted to an employee:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) means section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended by the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.

  • Personal Grievance means a claim that an employee: (a) Has been unjustifiably dismissed; or (b) has had his/her employment, or his/her conditions of employment, affected to (c) his/her disadvantage by some unjustifiable action by the employer; or (d) has been discriminated against in his/her employment; or (e) has been sexually harassed in his/her employment; or (f) has been racially harassed in his/her employment; or (g) has been subjected to duress in relation to union membership.

  • Victim of sexual assault means an individual against whom a sexual offense has been committed as described in ORS 163.467 or 163.525; or any other individual designated as a victim of sexual assault by rule adopted under ORS 659A.805.

  • Residential facility for persons with a disability means a residence:

  • Baggage and Personal Effects means luggage, personal possessions and travel documents taken by You on Your Trip.

  • Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means any change in enrollment at the post-secondary school that begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, is medically necessary, and causes the child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the Plan.

  • Casual Worker means a worker engaged by the hour and who may be dismissed or leave the employer's service at any moment without notice and except as hereinafter provided shall not be engaged for more than 30 hours per week in ordinary hours.

  • Aging and People with Disabilities (APD means the program area of Aging and People with Disabilities, within the Department of Human Services.

  • Personal care means the provision of hands-on services to assist an individual with activities of daily living.
