Common use of Professional Meeting Leave Clause in Contracts

Professional Meeting Leave. A. Professional meeting leave is that leave granted to a bargaining unit member to attend a conference, workshop, class visitation, or other professional meeting. B. Employees must record their request for / use of Professional Meeting Leave through the District’s automated online absence management system (e.g., Aesop) at least ten (10) workdays in advance of said meeting. The employee must also separately submit to the Building Principal a purchase order, if a fee is charged. C. All requests for professional meeting leave must be approved by the Superintendent. D. All approved expenses including travel, registration, lodging, and meals shall be reimbursed by the Board upon presentation of bills to the Board Treasurer. E.
