PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK. Tampa Executive Airport (VDF) The VDF project scope elements include the addition and replacement of video surveillance cameras at strategic locations on the airfield and at the terminal, hangars, and other airport facilities; new access control portals; and new fiber optic infrastructure. New gate operators, dual leaf slide gates, and video surveillance for vehicle identification will be provided at airfield gate locations. Recently installed communication cabinets and card reader pedestals will be reused. Approximately fifteen hundred (1500) linear feet of airfield security fencing will be replaced at VDF at locations to be determined at the beginning of the design phase. New video surveillance cameras will be added, and existing cameras will be replaced at the terminal building, hangars, maintenance facility, select access control gates, and airfield. The existing Video Surveillance System will be evaluated and extended as required. Video Surveillance design will include video storage calculations to account for new and existing cameras as well as Pixel per Foot Calculation to aid in camera selection. Fiber optic infrastructure will be installed to specific perimeter locations on the airport property. Due to the significant amount of existing onsite utilities (storm water piping, underground electrical, communications/fiber, and airfield lighting circuits) subsurface utility engineering (SUE) will be performed by ECHO UES, Inc. to establish utility locations along the electrical or fiber optic pathways to allow the design team to address potential conflicts. Communication duct banks will be installed in turfed areas to the extent possible. Directional drilling installation will be incorporated for crossing paved roads, taxiways and apron areas. Open trench cutting of pavement will be avoided where possible and used only where other methods are too costly or impractical. New access control portals will be added at building doors in accordance with the security program upgrades. The existing interior IT room will be evaluated and any additional fiber patch panels, surge protection, or UPS power provided to support the new equipment. Any required owner furnished network will be coordinated to establish communication over the existing Frontier Lease line back to Tampa International Airport. Geotechnical investigations and materials testing will be performed by Madrid CPWG. This will generally include estimating SHWT and determination of soil types and under...
