PROMOTIONS OUT OF THE BARGAINING UNIT. Employees who are promoted to positions within the Department that are outside the bargaining unit, but are returned to bargaining unit positions by the City within twelve (12) months of the date of promotion will return with the seniority they had accrued at the time of their promotion restored. The time an employee spends in the non- bargaining unit position will not however, be applied toward his/her seniority.
PROMOTIONS OUT OF THE BARGAINING UNIT. Employees who are promoted to positions that are outside the bargaining unit but are returned to bargaining unit positions by the College within twenty-four (24) months of the date of promotion or transfer to a non-bargaining unit position will return with the seniority they had accrued at the time of their promotion restored. The time employees spend in the non-bargaining unit positions will not however, be applied toward their seniority.
PROMOTIONS OUT OF THE BARGAINING UNIT. An employee who transfers or promotes into a non-Classified Bargaining Unit position within the District will continue to accumulate seniority. A Classified Bargaining Unit Member who leaves the Classified Bargaining Unit and fails to complete probationary service for the non-Classified Bargaining Unit position shall be returned to the same Classified Bargaining Unit job classification which he or she previously occupied pursuant to Education Code §45113. Such returning employee shall not displace an existing Classified Bargaining Unit Member, except in cases of a reduction in force where Article 47 is controlling.
