PROTECTION OF WORKERS, PROPERTY, AND THE PUBLIC. F.2.1 Contractor shall maintain continuous and adequate protection of all of the Work from damage, and shall protect the Owner's Authorized Representative, workers and property from injury or loss arising in connection with this Contract. Contractor shall remedy acceptably to the Owner, any damage, injury, or loss, except such as may be directly due to errors in the Contract Documents or caused by authorized representatives or personnel of the Owner. Contractor shall adequately protect adjacent property as provided by law and the Contract Documents.

CM/GC shall remedy acceptably to the City, any damage, injury, or loss, except such as may be directly due to errors in the Contract Documents or caused by authorized representatives or personnel of the City. CM/GC shall adequately protect adjacent property as provided by law and the Contract Documents. If any person suffers physical injury or property damage arising from the Work, regardless of the cause, the party shall immediately give notice of such injury or damage, whether or not insured, to City and CM/GC with sufficient detail to enable City and any other party affected to investigate the matter.

  • Workers’ Compensation The Contractor acknowledges the State of California requires every employer to be insured against liability for workers’ compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code. If Contractor has employees, a copy of the certificate evidencing such insurance, a letter of self-insurance, or a copy of the Certificate of Consent to Self-Insure shall be provided to County prior to commencement of work.

  • PROTECTION OF WORK AND PROPERTY Contractor shall erect and properly maintain at all times, as required by conditions and progress of the Work, all necessary safeguards, signs, barriers, lights, and security persons for protection of workers and the public, and shall post danger signs warning against hazards created by the Work. In an emergency affecting life and safety of life or of Work or of adjoining property, Contractor, without special instruction or authorization from District, is permitted to act at his discretion to prevent such threatened loss or injury.
