Safety and ProtectionWhere applicable, the PERFORMING PARTY shall be responsible for requiring employees, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain and supervise all necessary safety precautions and programs in connection with the Grant Activities. The PERFORMING PARTY shall take all necessary precautions to protect the health and safety of the public during performance of the Grant Activities.
Safety and Protection. A. DESIGN/BUILDER shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the Construction. DESIGN/BUILDER shall take necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: 1. All persons on the Site or who may be affected by the Construction; 2. All Work and materials and equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the Site; and 3. Other property at the Site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures, utilities and underground facilities not designated for removal, relocation or replacement in the course of the Construction. B. DESIGN/BUILDER shall comply with applicable Laws and Regulations of any public body having jurisdiction for safety of persons or property or to protect them from damage, injury or loss; and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. DESIGN/BUILDER shall notify owners of adjacent property and of underground facilities and utility owners when prosecution of the Work may affect them, and shall cooperate with them in the protection, removal, relocation and replacement of their property. All damage, injury or loss to any property caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by DESIGN/BUILDER, any Subcontractor, Supplier or any other individual or entity directly or indirectly employed by any of them to perform or furnish any of the Work or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, shall be remedied by DESIGN/BUILDER. DESIGN/BUILDER's duties and responsibilities for safety and for protection of the construction shall continue until (i) such time as all the Work is completed and OWNER has issued a notice to DESIGN/BUILDER in accordance with paragraph 13.09 that the Work is acceptable or, (ii) in the event DESIGN/BUILDER is excluded from the Site under paragraph 13.05.B. after Substantial Completion, the date DESIGN/BUILDER is excluded from the Site.
Safety and Protection. 42.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the Project. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury, or loss to: 42.1.1 All employees on the Project and other persons who may be affected thereby. 42.1.2 All the work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the Project site; and 42.1.3 Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures, and utilities not designated for removal, relocation, or replacement in the course of construction. 42.2 The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and orders of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property or to protect them from damage, injury, or loss, and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. The Contractor shall notify owners of adjacent property and utilities when prosecution of the work may affect them. All damage, injury or loss to any property referred to in Sections 42.1.2 and 42.1.3 above, caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the Contractor, any subcontractor or consultant, or anyone directly or indirectly employed by any of them or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, shall be remedied by the Contractor. The Contractor's duties and responsibilities for the safety and protection of the Project shall continue until such time as all the Project is completed, and the Project Manager has issued a notice to the Contractor that the Project is acceptable except as otherwise provided in Article 27,
Safety and Protection. 8.18.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: 8.18.1.1 All employees working on the project and other persons who may be affected thereby. 8.18.1.2 All the Work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the site. 8.18.1.3 Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures and utilities not designated for removal, relocation or replacement in the course of construction. 8.18.2 The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and orders of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property or to protect them from damage, injury or loss; and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. The Contractor shall notify owners of adjacent property and utilities when execution of the Work may affect them at least seventy two (72) hours in advance (unless otherwise required). All damage, injury or loss to any property caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part by the Contractor, any subcontractor or anyone directly or indirectly employed by any of them or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, shall be remedied by the Contractor. The Contractor’s duties and responsibilities for safety and protection of the Work shall continue until such time as all the Work is completed and accepted by the City.

Such responsibility does not relieve Subcontractors of their responsibility for the safety of persons or property in the performance of their work, nor for compliance with applicable safety Laws and Regulations. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: 1. all persons on the Site or who may be affected by the Work; 2. all the Work and materials and equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the Site; and 3. other property at the Site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures, utilities, and Underground Facilities not designated for removal, relocation, or replacement in the course of construction. B. Contractor shall comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations relating to the safety of persons or property, or to the protection of persons or property from damage, injury, or loss; and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. Contractor shall notify owners of adjacent property and of Underground Facilities and other utility owners when prosecution of the Work may affect them, and shall cooperate with them in the protection, removal, relocation, and replacement of their property. C. Contractor shall comply with the applicable requirements of City’s safety programs, if any. D. Contractor shall inform City of the specific requirements of Contractor’s safety program, if any, with which City’s employees and representatives must comply while at the Site. E. All damage, injury, or loss to any property referred to in Paragraph 6.14.A.2 or 6.14.A.3 caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by Contractor, any Subcontractor, Supplier, or any other individual or entity directly or indirectly employed by any of them to perform any of the Work, or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, shall be remedied by Contractor. F. Contractor’s duties and responsibilities for safety and for protection of the Work shall continue until such time as all the Work is completed and City has accepted the Work.

C. All damage, injury, or loss to any property caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by Contractor, or anyone for whose acts the Contractor may be liable, shall be remedied by Contractor at its expense (except damage or loss attributable to the fault of Contract Documents or to the acts or omissions of Owner or Engineer and not attributable, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, to the fault or negligence of Contractor). D. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating any exchange of material safety data sheets or other hazard communication information required to be made available to or exchanged between or among employers at the Site in accordance with Laws or Regulations. E. In emergencies affecting the safety or protection of persons or the Work or property at the Site or adjacent thereto, Contractor shall act to prevent threatened damage, injury, or loss. Contractor shall give Engineer prompt written notice if Contractor believes that any significant changes in the Work or variations from the Contract Documents have been caused thereby or are required as a result thereof. If Engineer determines that a change in the Contract Documents is required because of the action taken by Contractor in response to such an emergency, a Work Change Directive or Change Order will be issued.
Safety and ProtectionThe Service Provider shall be solely and completely responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to all employees on the worksite and other persons including, but not limited to, the general public who may be affected thereby.

CONTRACTOR shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: a) All personnel on the job site and other persons who may be affected thereby (i.e. pedestrians, residents, etc.); b) All the work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated therein, whether in storage on or off the job site; and c) Other property at the job site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures, irrigation and utilities not designated for removal, relocation or replacement in the course of construction. d) Residences and other private properties, and any appurtenances thereon. 2. CONTRACTOR shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and orders of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property or to protect them from damage, injury or loss; and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. CONTRACTOR shall notify owners of adjacent property and utilities when performance of the work may affect them. All damage, injury or loss to any property caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by CONTRACTOR, any subcontractor or anyone directly or indirectly employed by any of them, or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, shall be remedied by CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR's duties and responsibilities for the safety and protection of the work shall continue until such time as all the Work is completed and accepted. 3. CONTRACTOR shall designate a responsible member of its organization at the job site whose duty shall be the prevention of accidents. This person shall be CONTRACTOR'S superintendent unless otherwise designated in writing by CONTRACTOR to the County.
Safety and ProtectionThe Contractor will be solely responsible for initiating formulating, supervising, reviewing, and overseeing any and all safety precautions, practices, procedures, and programs which are or should be provided in connection with the Work. Contractor will take all necessary or proper precautions for the safety of and will provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury, or loss to: 6.13.1 All employees on the work site and any other person who may be affected thereby whether or not such person is involved with the Work. 6.13.2 All the Work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated therein whether in storage on or off the site. 6.13.3 Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures and utilities not designated for removal, relocation or replacement in the course of construction.
Safety and ProtectionThe Contractor will be responsible for the safety and industrial hygiene of its employees as well as the safety of the public and property while engaged in work for LES. The Contractor will be responsible for communicating to their employees that adherence to proper safety and health procedures is a condition of employment during the performance of the work and that infraction of safety and health rules constitutes grounds for removal of the employee from the job site and denial of site access. The Contractor will advise LES of any conditions or activities that are considered a safety hazard or problem that requires attention and is controllable by LES. It will be the Contractor’s responsibility to become fully acquainted with applicable safety and health laws and regulations prior to commencing the work. The Contractor will take all necessary precautions to keep the job site free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause injury, death, illness, or damage to Contractor’s property, LES property, or public property. The Contractor will be responsible for an ongoing safety and health program during the performance of the work being performed. This safety program will, at a minimum, meet the strictest applicable OSHA rules/regulations and all regulations and standards adopted and/or promulgated there under or in connection therewith as well as all applicable state or local laws and regulations. The Contractor will furnish a Site or Project Safety Plan to the LES Safety Representative for their review. The Contractor will follow this plan during all phases of the work. The Contractor must comply with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations during the performance of the Work. LES will train the Contractor’s employees in site specific safety rules prior to the commencement of work. Contractors will monitor the work of its employees to ensure proper job safety. It will also be the Contractor’s responsibility to assure job site control in applicable safety rules and procedures provided to employees of all subcontractors involved in the work to be performed. The Contractor is responsible for providing all medical and first aid facilities for its employees and subcontractors’ employees, if any. The Contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining all safety equipment, including personal protective equipment.
