Work Site Safety. The Contractor shall take all necessary precaution for the safety of employees on the work site and shall comply with all applicable provisions of federal, state, and local regulations, ordinances, and codes. The Contractor shall erect and properly maintain, at all times, as required by the conditions and progress of the work, all necessary safeguards for the protection of workers and the public and shall post danger signs warning against known and unusual hazards.
Work Site Safety. The Contractor shall have the “right to control” and bear the sole responsibility for the job site conditions, and job site safety. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety regulations governing the job site, employees and Subcontractors. The Contractor shall be responsible for the Subcontractor’s compliance with these provisions.

Work Site Safety. 25.1 Work site safety is of paramount concern to The City of Calgary. Therefore, for those projects where the Consultant carries out on-site work, the Consultant, prior to conducting any such work, should schedule a meeting with the project manager for The City to discuss and be briefed on safety issues, such as the Certificate of Recognition Program (“COR”) or equivalent safety accreditation, the assignment of prime contractor program and any other such issues as the project manager for The City deems necessary for the safe completion of the project.

Work Site Safety. (i) All workers shall wear safety vest, approved by the Village, when operating on behalf of the Village within or on any rights-of-way within the Village of Lake Villa. All employees shall wear required protective equipment as prescribed in the latest version of the ANSI Standard Z.133.1. The Contractor shall be solely and completely responsible for providing and maintaining safe conditions at the Project work site, including but not limited to the safety of all persons, property or the Work at or adjacent to the work site during performance of the Work on the Project. All decisions relating to safe work operations, the use and proper application of equipment and materials, and the protection of the general public from work operations shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. This requirement shall apply continuously and shall not be limited to normal working hours. Contractor shall take all safety precautions as shall be necessary to comply with all applicable laws and to prevent injury to persons and damage to property.

Work Site Safety. CODES AND STANDARDS The contractor shall: .1 execute all work in accordance with Alberta Building Code and Supplements, and all codes and standards specified with the text of this specification.
Work Site Safety. Client agrees that SUMMIT shall not supervise or direct, or have any responsibility for, control over or charge of, the Contractors' work or the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or for the work site safety precautions or programs in connection with the Work. These rights and responsibilities are solely those of the party or parties performing the actual construction of the Project. Neither the professional activities of SUMMIT, nor the presence of SUMMIT personnel and subconsultants at the construction site, shall relieve the Contractors and any other entity of their obligations, duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to, construction means, methods, sequence, techniques or procedures necessary for performing, superintending or coordinating all portions of the Work safely and in accordance with any health or safety requirements of any regulatory agency. The Client agrees that the Client, SUMMIT and its subconsultants shall be indemnified by the Contractors and shall be made additional insureds under the Contractors' general, umbrella and excess liability insurance policies.
