Common use of Protective Clothing and Footwear Clause in Contracts

Protective Clothing and Footwear. * a) Subject to the eligibility requirements set out in c) below, employees who are required by the Employer to wear protective footwear shall receive an annual allowance towards the purchase of such footwear. Employees entitled to receive a footwear allowance shall receive an annual allowance in the amount of $185 for employees required by the Employer to wear “green patch” footwear and $130 for employees required to wear safety footwear of a lower “patch” level.

Employees entitled to receive a footwear allowance shall receive an annual allowance in the amount of $185 (effective January 1, 2021 increase from $185 to $225) for employees required by the Employer to wear “green patch” footwear and $130 (effective January 1, 2021 increase from $130 to $160) for employees required to wear safety footwear of a lower “patch” level.
