Public examinations. The Head may, after consultation with the Parents and the Pupil, decline to enter the Pupil's name for a public examination if, in the exercise of his / her professional judgement, the Head considers that by doing so the Pupil's prospects in other examinations would be impaired and / or if the Pupil has not prepared for the examination with sufficient diligence, for example, because the Pupil has not worked or revised in accordance with advice or instruction from his / her tutors.

Public examinations. 6.1. The Provider will enter all students for public examinations that are linked to the curriculum that is being taught and overseen by Provider staff. The Provider will cover the costs for these entries. 6.2. For any student requiring examinations in subjects not taught or overseen by Provider staff, the Commissioner will be responsible for the cost of examination entry fees for those subjects. 6.3. All students will sit public examinations at the Provider’s centre, unless the Commissioner and Provider agree that it is not in the student’s best interest. 6.4. The Provider will issue the Commissioner with a Statement of Results for each student on roll with the Commissioner no later than the end of the day on 22 August 2024. The Commissioner must request in writing if they wish to receive a Statement of Results on 21 August 2024, when the Provider receives the results from exam awarding bodies.
