Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.
Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:
Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.
Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.
Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.
HOLIDAYS AND OVERTIME 4.11 All work performed outside of the regular scheduled working hours and on Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day (California only), Presidents Day (Nevada only), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day (California only), Nevada Day (Nevada only), Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, and Christmas Day, or days celebrated as such, shall be paid for at double the regular straight-time rate of pay. Fridays and Saturdays You may opt to wear jeans and a t-shirt. However shorts, slippers, sandals / slippers are not considered appropriate on all working days. Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.
