HOLIDAYS AND OVERTIME. All work performed outside of the regular scheduled working hours and on Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day (California only), Presidents Day (Nevada only), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day (California only), Nevada Day (Nevada only), Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, and Christmas Day, or days celebrated as such, shall be paid for at double the regular straight-time rate of pay.
HOLIDAYS AND OVERTIME. Hours paid for such duty will be counted as hours worked for the purpose of qualifying for vacations and for recognized paid holidays, but will not be counted as hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime.

Wherever all other Building Trades Locals in a particular area have Remembrance Day as a recognized holiday, by Collective Agreement, then for the purpose of this Agreement, Remembrance Day shall be recognized as a holiday and employees covered by this Agreement in that particular area shall receive the double time rate for work performed on Remembrance Day. When a holiday named above falls on a Saturday or a Sunday then the following Monday or the next regular scheduled work day shall be taken as the holiday unless other building trades in affected areas are taking the Friday before thus making Monday impractical, should Canada Day fall on a Monday to Friday weekday, it shall be taken on the day on which it falls. In a holiday week when the Monday or Friday is deemed a holiday, the regular hours of work shall be thirty-two (32) hours for that week. Therefore, overtime rates shall apply after the thirty-two (32) hours.

(c) When a holiday named above falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then the following Monday or the next regular scheduled workday shall be taken as the holiday (i.e. if Christmas falls on a Sunday and Boxing Day is Monday then both Monday and Tuesday shall be considered holidays). Should Canada Day fall on a Monday to Friday weekday, it shall be taken on the day on which it falls.

a. The first two (2) hours performed in excess of a normal eight (8) hour work day. Monday through Friday, and the first ten (10) hours on Saturday shall be paid at one and one-half (1.5) times the straight time rate. All work performed on Sundays, Holidays and in excess of ten (10) hours a day shall be double (2) times the straight time rate of pay.
b. In the event Members are requested to work more than ten (10) hours, they shall have one-half (1/2) hour for lunch or supper, said meal and time shall be provided by the Employer. If said meal is not provided, a $15.00 subsistence will be added to the employee’s paycheck for said meal.
c. Maintenance Work – on all maintenance and repair of existing buildings and other buildings where management and Union agree, in those instances where the customers require that the work commence after four-thirty (4:30) p.m. to ten (10) p.m. the following conditions will prevail. The employees shall work seven and one-half (7.5) hours and be paid for eight (8) hours. If requested to work longer, overtime rates shall apply and be paid accordingly.
d. No work shall be performed on Labor Day except in special cases of emergency. The rate of pay shall be at three (3) times the regular rate of pay.
e. Should the actual holiday fall on Saturday, the Friday preceding will be considered the holiday, if the actual holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered the holiday. Holidays are Christmas Day, New Years Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day and Thanksgiving Day.
