Quarantine or Catastrophic Disaster Leave. Employees will be provided up to a maximum of ten (10) days paid leave of absence for quarantine by a health officer due to a contagious disease. The same will be provided for a catastrophic disaster that occurs at the employee’s school and/or community which causes the closure of the school district or the employee’s worksite.

The benefit as defined in the paragraph above shall only apply for a two-year period of time for ten (10) days of leave in total. The two-year period is defined to be that period of time starting January 1st of each even numbered year to the last day of December in the following odd numbered year.
