Re-employment After. (a) When an employee is re-employed lay-off in a position in the same pay range to that which held prior to lay-off, shall be paid at the step in the range, subject to any wage adjustment, which received at the time of lay-off When after lay-off, an employee is employed in a position having a lower salary range than that which held prior to lay-off, shall be paid as follows: When there is a rate equivalent to that which was formerly paid, shall be paid at that rate. When there is no rate equivalent to hisher former rate, shall be paid at the higher rate in the new range nearest to former rate. When the former rate of pay exceeds the maximum for the new position, shall be paid the maximum in the range for the new position.

Re-employment After. Absence Due to Childcare‌ Where an observer has resigned from MPI to care for pre-school children, they will be given preferential consideration for any vacancy for which they have the skills to fill competently, on reapplying within four years of resignation. Where the former observer is re-employed under this clause, the period of absence will interrupt service but not break it. The period of absence will not count as service for the purposes of sick leave or annual leave or any other leave entitlement. This provision applies equally to all observers regardless of when the absence for childcare occurred.

  • Cyclic Year Employment The Employer may fill a position with a cyclic year appointment for positions scheduled to work less than twelve (12) full months each year, due to known, recurring periods in the annual cycle when the position is not needed. At least fifteen (15) days before the start of each annual cycle, incumbents of cyclic year positions will be informed, in writing, of their scheduled periods of leave without pay in the ensuing cycle. Such periods of leave without pay will not constitute a break in service. When additional work is required of a cyclic position during a period for which the position was scheduled for leave without pay, the temporary work will be offered to the incumbent. The incumbent will be allowed at least three (3) working days in which to accept or decline the offer. Should the incumbent decline the work, it will be offered to other cyclic employees, in the same classification, with the necessary skills and abilities, in order of seniority, before being filled by other means.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • Pre-Employment Testing A pre-employment drug test will be conducted under the following conditions, except where conditions listed in Part 382.301(b)(c) are met:
