Recruitment and Layoff of Temporary Employees. Excluding seasonally employed temporary staff, at the point of hire the employer shall provide the union with the following information: • Employee name • Employee hire date • Position name • Proposed length of employment The employer shall provide two weeks’ notice or two weeks’ pay in lieu of notice of layoff to temporary employees. The process has been in place since 1997 and is as follows:
