Common use of Recurrent Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Recurrent Sick Leave. a) An employee who returns to work following an absence on Sick Leave pursuant to Articles 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 or 11.4 and has a recurrence of the same illness or non-occupational injury within sixty (60) calendar days of returning to work will commence Sick Leave on the appropriate Sick Leave Plan at the point reached prior to his return to work. b) A recurrence of the same illness or non-occupational injury after an employee has returned to work for a period longer than sixty (60) calendar days will be considered to be a separate Sick Leave incident and the employee will commence Sick Leave pursuant to Article 11.1 herein.
