Reflectivity a. All above ground man-made elements (i.e., the built environment) must meet reflectivity guidelines. This includes any reflective surfaces (metal, glass, plastics, or other materials with smooth surfaces) that do not blend with the natural environment. They should be covered, painted, stained, chemically treated, etched, sandblasted, corrugated, or otherwise treated to meet the solar reflectivity standards. The specific requirements for reflectivity are as follows: Facilities with exteriors consisting of galvanized metal or other reflective surfaces will be treated or painted dark non- reflective colors that blend with the forest background to meet an average neutral value of 4.5 or less as measured on the Xxxxxxx neutral scale. This requirement does not apply to sign faces. Sign faces are covered under the MUTCD guidelines (xxxx://xxxxx.xxxx.xxx.xxx/).
Reflectivity. All paint lines shall have reflector glass beads: • Beads shall be spherical in shape, containing not more than fifteen (15) percent of irregularly shaped particles by microscopic count. • Beads shall be transparent and colourless, smooth and free from film, foreign matter, scratches and pits. Not more than twenty-five (25) percent by weight of the true spheres shall have imperfections (e.g. milkiness, dark specks, incipient fractures and air inclusions). • Index of refraction of glass beads shall not be less than 1.50. • For Roadways, beading shall be applied at a rate of 720 to 960 grams per liter (6-8 lbs. of bead per gallon) of paint sprayed on the road surface. • For the City of Weyburn Airport Runway and Taxiway, beading shall be applied at a rate of 1200 to 1400 grams per liter (10-12 lbs. of bead per gallon) of paint sprayed on the road surface. • Beads are to be applied using an automatic, pressurized spray apparatus, according to equipment operations specification, to achieve 50% to 60% embedment. Bead coating should be employed to maximize embedment and retro reflectivity. Bidders are requested to submit, with tender, Product Data sheets for paint, bead and applicator being considered for use. An EF Traffic Paint Product Data sheet, Appendix C, is provided for example. Tenders which provide insufficient product detail will not be considered; paint, bead or spray equipment which does not meet the requirements of this tender will be rejected.

Guardrail Galvanized steel guardrailand hardware, with stained finish or another low contrasting guardrailwith the surrounding natural environment, are specified on all guardrail repl cements within USFS and BLM boundaries. Post color will be either natural wood color or galvanized with stained finish or another low contrasting finish with the surrounding naturalenvironment.
Reflectivity. Reflectivity requirements shall be met in both the B633 and B900 spectral bands. The minimum reflectance of the quiet zones shall be 60 percent. The minimum reflectance of the spaces between the bars shall be 51 percent.
Reflectivity. The Stage 2 development applications must contain sufficient information to demonstrate that that the visible light reflectivity from building materials used on the facade of any building greater than three storeys does not exceed 20%. The relevant Stage 2 development applications shall be the subject of a reflectivity report that demonstrates compliance with the above.
Reflectivity. The white portion of the markings shall have an initial expected retroreflectance values as measured in accordance with the testing procedures of ASTM D4061. The photometric quantity to be measured shall be coefficient of retroreflected luminance (RL) and shall be expressed as 500 millicandelas per square foot per foot-candle [(mcd • ft-2) • fc-1]. The metric equivalent shall be expressed as millicandelas per square meter per lux [(mcd • m-2) • lx-1]. The test distance shall be 98.4 feet (30 m), as measured with a LTL-2000 Retroreflectometer. The test instrument shall use an Entrance Angle of 88.76° and Observation Angle of 1.05° which represent a simulated driver viewing geometry at a 30 meter distance.
