Regular Appointment. The regular appointment of a probationary employee will begin on the day following the end of the probationary period. A probationary employee may be rejected at any time during the probation period without regard to the Xxxxxx provisions of this Memorandum, without notice and without right of appeal or hearing, except as provided in Section 20.5.A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of the MOU, an employee rejected during the probation period from a position in the Merit System to which the employee had been promoted or transferred from an eligible list, shall be restored to a position in the department from which the employee was promoted or transferred.
