Xxxxx Power recognizes and appreciates the dual responsibility employees elected to hold Society office have to their job and to Society members. Society representatives and their supervisors (those excluded from The Society) are encouraged to pursue a mutually acceptable and cooperative approach to managing the requirement for absences as a result of this dual role. Management recognizes that the need for time off from normal duties will vary with the position that the employee holds within The Society. The higher up in The Society the more will be the demands for time off.

RELEASE OF SOCIETY REPRESENTATIVES. 8.1 In order to provide an orderly procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the right of the Society to appoint or otherwise select two (2) delegates, and one (1) alternate, whose duties shall include assisting employees in preparing and presenting grievances in accordance with the grievance procedure. A Society delegate will be granted reasonable time off from normal duties and have normal base earnings maintained while acting as a delegate in any of the steps of the grievance procedure.

  • Safety Representative On every job site, workers may elect a Workers’ Safety Representative in accordance with the Act.

  • Grievance Representatives Within 30 working days after the execution of this Agreement, the Union shall furnish the Xxxxxxx with a list of all persons authorized to act as the Chapter and UPI Local Grievance Representatives and shall update the list as changes occur. The designated Chapter Grievance Representative shall be an employee of the University and shall have the responsibility to meet classes, office hours, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. If the responsibilities of the Chapter Grievance Representative require rescheduling of the representative's University duties, the representative may, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.

  • Nurse Representatives The Employer agrees to recognize two (2) Nurse Representatives for the purpose of dealing with grievances and conducting Union interviews.

  • Grievance Representative Employees presenting a grievance under Step 2 shall be represented by a representative of the Union.

  • Health and Safety Representative Meetings 13.1 A health and safety representative will be allowed reasonable paid time during working hours to attend occupational health and safety matters, including meetings affecting employees they represent, providing that the Representative informs their manager.

  • Health and Safety Representatives 58.1 The Employer and its Employees will comply with Part 7 of the OHS Act – Representation of Employees in relation to the establishment of designated work groups and the election of Health and Safety Representatives.

  • 000 UNION REPRESENTATIVES 9.100 Representatives of the Unions shall have access to the job during working hours on Union business. They shall, as regulations of the plant permit, obtain specific authorization from the Company for each visit.

  • Contractor’s Representative Contractor hereby designates [***INSERT NAME OR TITLE***], or his or her designee, to act as its representative for the performance of this Agreement (“Contractor’s Representative”). Contractor’s Representative shall have full authority to represent and act on behalf of the Contractor for all purposes under this Agreement.   • Notice of Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Company when any representative of the Union intends to visit the worksite for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits will not disrupt employees working without the supervisor/manager’s permission.

  • Union Representatives Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.
