Resignation Procedures. If for some reason you find it necessary to resign your employment with the District, notify your supervisor as far in advance as possible. Complete the Notice of Resignation/Retirement form which is available on the Personnel webpage and submit to the Division of Human Resources. The Classified Technician will contact you to complete an exit interview form. You should also bring a form signed by your supervisor verifying that any keys assigned you have been returned. If you have been a member of the Public Employees Retirement System, you must sign the form notifying CalPERS of your intentions regarding to your contributions. This form can be obtained from the Division of Human Resources.
Resignation Procedures. An employee who is resigning shall give two (2) weeks notice to the building administrator and the Director of Personnel. Final payment shall occur on normally scheduled paydays.
Resignation Procedures. A teacher shall give a 30-day notice when resigning from MNPS. The conditions under which it is permissible to break a contract are outlined in TCA 49-5-411 (a). If the teacher desires, MNPS will grant a release from employment before the end of the 30-day period once a suitable replacement has been employed. (2003) In order to provide for optimum teacher placement and to facilitate the following transfer procedures, it is recognized that, except in unusual circumstances, teachers have a professional responsibility to give notice to the Human Resources Department before March 15, if they do not intend to remain in the Metropolitan Schools the following school year. If a teacher has notified the Human Resources Department of an intent not to remain in the system and the circumstances contributing to that decision change, the Department has a professional responsibility to consider these new factors and developments and to reinstate the teacher in his or her original position if it is available, or in another position for which the teacher is qualified when the first such vacancy occurs.
Resignation Procedures. Employees voluntarily terminating their services with the District are expected to give advance notices of not less than ten (10) working days. This notice should be submitted to the supervisor in writing and should specify both the last day of work and the reason for terminating. Authorized unused vacation credit will be paid to 12 month employees with the last paycheck.
Resignation Procedures. 25.3.1 An ESP may leave the service of the system voluntarily by resignation. Whenever possible, the resignation shall be in writing and submitted to the principal/supervisor in a timely fashion (normally two weeks). The resignation shall be forwarded to The Division of Human Resource as soon as possible for processing. An ESP planning to retire should contact HCPS Retirement Department to schedule an exit meeting 3 months prior to their retirement date. Failure to schedule three months prior will have no negative consequences to an employee’s retirement or employment status.
