Road Markings. Raised rib road markings shall be used in locations specified by the Highway Authority Engineer. When used there should be no gap within the line. Removal of Road Markings If road markings require removal, the process of removal shall be approved by the Highway Authority Engineer.

Road Markings. B5706 SETTING OUT THE ROAD MARKINGS Add the following: “Where road markings are to be replaced after milling/overlay seal, it is essential that all existing barrier lines and other road marking lines be accurately referenced before commencement of milling or other operations which will obliterate the existing road markings. Road Markings. (i) The Design shall ensure that all road markings shall be ‘extruded’ thermoplastic material.
Road Markings. All road markings shall be subjected to routine inspection at least once every year. These inspections shall be aimed at determining the extent of degradation of the markings due to: □ Normal wear and tear or damage; □ Spread due to movement of the road surface or plasticity of the material; □ Loss of colour; and □ Reduction in retro-reflective properties. Apart from subjective inspections of retro-reflective properties, all inspections shall be carried out in daylight conditions. In all cases where the level of degradation exceeds the limits set out in the Operation Manual corrective maintenance shall be undertaken within a period of six months.
Road Markings. Road marking with hot laid thermoplastic paint of approved quality shall be provided as per MORT&H Specifications /IRC Standards. The road/ traffic marking including kerb marking shall be provided as per IRC guidelines.
