Rosters – Retail Associates. The following conditions regarding rosters of work apply to retail associates only. To avoid doubt, these conditions do not apply to laboratory associates. (a) Rosters shall be established by the manager to suit the operating needs, which may include 5, 6 or 7 day weeks. (b) Late nights apply on those days that the store may trade on late nights due to: (i) Any applicable state or territory legislation; or (ii) Any relevant provisions in the store lease agreement. (c) In addition, late nights may be rostered for training or stocktake purposes. (d) In this clause, 'late nights' means ordinary hours rostered after the normal closing time for the particular business location or 6.00pm, whichever is the earlier. (e) Rosters for 5 day operation apply to sites that open Monday to Friday and may include late nights. (f) Rosters for 6 day trading apply to sites that open Monday to Saturday. Rostered hours will include a minimum of 2 Saturdays plus half the number of late trading nights per 4 week cycle, or an equivalent mix of these periods by mutual agreement. (g) The requirement for rostered Saturdays and Sundays beyond the minimum may be satisfied by rostered overtime. Rostered ordinary hours on Saturdays and Sundays are intended as a flexibility to satisfy the essential business requirements created by customer demand and competitor activity. Saturdays and Sundays beyond the minimum will not be rostered on a routine basis. When they are required, they will be rostered in consultation with the associate.‌ (h) Rosters for 7 day trading apply to sites that open Monday to Sunday. Rostered hours will be as for a 6 day roster, plus 1 Sunday per 4 week cycle. (i) Ordinary time hours shall be rostered to provide for not less than 8 days rostered off per 4 week cycle with at least 2 of the 8 days being consecutive days, unless otherwise agreed. (j) Permanent associates, full and part-time, shall not be rostered for less than 3 hours ordinary time on any one day or more than 8 consecutive days, unless agreed otherwise. (k) Other forms of roster may be implemented to satisfy particular business needs or by mutual agreement with the associate, but shall be consistent with the minimum requirements prescribed in Hours of Work – Retail Associates. (l) Associates should be advised of the roster or roster changes as early as possible and with a minimum notice of one week.   • New Employee Orientation The Union will provide each agency personnel director with the names and addresses of up to two (2) authorized Union representatives per agency to receive notice of each formal orientation meeting held by the Department. The notice will be sent as soon as such meetings are scheduled (but not less than ten (10) days in advance) and will include date, time and location. Due to operational exigencies, agencies may schedule an orientation which will provide the Union with less than the requisite ten (10) days' notice; however the Union shall be notified as soon as possible after the scheduling of the orientation and the Union representative shall be released from duty. Agencies shall routinely schedule orientations in a manner that will allow for the ten (10) day advance notice to the Union. During the formal orientation, the Union will be permitted to give a twenty (20) minute presentation which may include an enrollment in supplemental Union benefits. The parties shall encourage employee attendance, although attendance shall not be mandatory if an employee objects to attending the presentation. In the event a formal orientation meeting is not held, or the Union is unable to attend the formal orientation because the designated Union representatives cannot be released under Article 4, the Employer shall allow the Union representative and the employee(s) to meet during duty hours at a mutually agreed upon time and location for twenty (20) minutes Employee participation in these meetings shall be encouraged although an employee shall not be required to attend such a meeting.

  • Switching and Tagging Rules Each Party shall provide the other Parties a copy of its switching and tagging rules that are applicable to the other Parties’ activities. Such switching and tagging rules shall be developed on a non-discriminatory basis. The Parties shall comply with applicable switching and tagging rules, as amended from time to time, in obtaining clearances for work or for switching operations on equipment.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Power Factor Design Criteria (Reactive Power A wind generating plant shall maintain a power factor within the range of 0.95 leading to 0.95 lagging, measured at the Point of Interconnection as defined in this LGIA, if the ISO’s System Reliability Impact Study shows that such a requirement is necessary to ensure safety or reliability. The power factor range standards can be met using, for example without limitation, power electronics designed to supply this level of reactive capability (taking into account any limitations due to voltage level, real power output, etc.) or fixed and switched capacitors if agreed to by the Connecting Transmission Owner for the Transmission District to which the wind generating plant will be interconnected, or a combination of the two. The Developer shall not disable power factor equipment while the wind plant is in operation. Wind plants shall also be able to provide sufficient dynamic voltage support in lieu of the power system stabilizer and automatic voltage regulation at the generator excitation system if the System Reliability Impact Study shows this to be required for system safety or reliability.

  • Employee Eligibility Verification The Contractor warrants that it fully complies with all Federal and State statutes and regulations regarding the employment of aliens and others and that all its employees performing work under this Contract meet the citizenship or alien status requirement set forth in Federal statutes and regulations. The Contractor shall obtain, from all employees performing work hereunder, all verification and other documentation of employment eligibility status required by Federal or State statutes and regulations including, but not limited to, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, 8 U.S.C. §1324 et seq., as they currently exist and as they may be hereafter amended. The Contractor shall retain all such documentation for all covered employees for the period prescribed by the law. The Contractor shall indemnify, defend with counsel approved in writing by County, and hold harmless, the County, its agents, officers, and employees from employer sanctions and any other liability which may be assessed against the Contractor or the County or both in connection with any alleged violation of any Federal or State statutes or regulations pertaining to the eligibility for employment of any persons performing work under this Contract.
