Safety and Security Program. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for assuring the safety of passengers, personnel, and members of the public, and for assuring that ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Transit Authority’s vehicles and Equipment are maintained at the highest possible level throughout the term of this Contract. In this regard, the Contractor shall develop and implement an ongoing comprehensive safety and security program. The program must meet all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The safety program shall be submitted to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Transit Authority for approval thirty (30) days prior to beginning service under this Contract. The Contractor shall require all vehicle operators, supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and managers to participate in the safety program. The subcontractor shall employ a Safety and Security Director to oversee the safety program. The safety program shall address the following:
Safety and Security Program. This Program shall adhere to all local, State and Federal requirements for transit system safety, security and emergency preparedness, and shall include the following: (1) a description of the MCTD and/or Contractor’s procedures, training actions, and policies in place to carry out their responsibilities to assure a safe and secure environment for Revenue Service passengers and to provide a safe workplace for their employees; (2) an identification of the personnel dedicated to safety and security; (3) an Emergencies Operations Plan addressing preparation for and responses to emergencies and a Continuity of Operations Plan; and (4) the safety and security reporting system.
