Safety work. If the social partners at an enterprise with fewer than ten employees agree not to have a safety delegate, the elected shop xxxxxxx may perform the functions of the safety delegate. Safety delegates shall have unimpeded access to areas for which they are responsible. If they must leave their workplace, they shall inform their immediate superiors in advance or as soon as possible. Seniority and wages shall be calculated as if the safety delegate/chief safety delegate was working throughout the period in which they served these functions. In enterprises where no working environment committees exists, cooperation between the employer and safety representatives shall include the responsibilities incumbent on safety representatives as laid down in Section 6-2 (8) second sentence of the Working Environment Act. In enterprises where working environment committees have been established pursuant to Section 7-1 of the Working Environment Act, the management may, within specific budgetary limits, authorize the working environment committee to implement safety measures agreed upon by the members of the committee. This does not limit the decision-making powers vested in the committee under the law. The parties wish to emphasize the importance of preventive work regarding the working environment and health in the enterprises. As to enterprises’ statutory obligations to have health and safety (HSE) personnel, and as to the requirements for the professional qualifications of said personnel, reference is made to Section 3-3 of the Working Environment Act and its regulations. The duties of the HSE personnel shall be set forth in the documentation of the enterprise in accordance with the Regulation on Systematic Health, Safety and Environmental Work in Enterprises (Internal Control Regulation).

Safety work. In addition to the provisions stated in 10.1 above, the employee is obliged to participate in safety work if required. The following tasks are classed as safety work:

  • Dirty Work Where an employee and their supervisor agree that work (other than ship repair work) is of an unusually dirty or offensive nature, the employee shall be entitled to 43 cents per hour extra. Where an employee and their supervisor agree that certain ship repair work is of an unusually dirty or offensive nature, the employee shall be entitled to 58 cents per hour extra.

  • Project Work PURCHASER shall complete the following projects in accordance with the specifications provided in Exhibits B, C, D, E, and F and written instructions from STATE. Project locations are shown on Exhibit A unless otherwise described. PURCHASER shall furnish all material unless otherwise specified.

  • Contract Work The provision of goods and services identified in the Contract constitute the contract work (Contract Work). Contractor shall perform the Contract Work pursuant to the terms of the Contract. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, appliances, and appurtenances for the Contract Work in strict conformity with this Contract, within the time-period prescribed by the City.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Contractor Work Hours and Safety Standards Contractor shall ensure compliance with all safety and hourly requirements for employees, in accordance with federal, state, and County safety and health regulations and laws.

  • Unsafe Work (a) An employee may exercise their right to refuse to do unsafe work pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations outlined in Information Appendix B.

  • Day Work (a) The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and the normal work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) consecutive hours, exclusive of a meal period, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The normal work week shall be Monday to Friday inclusive.

  • Site Work An expansion of the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Boonville Station is required to accommodate the CTOIFs. The southern corner of the fence line will be expanded out by approximately 3,200 square feet. The Connecting Transmission Owner already owns the property required for the expansion. Approximately 120 feet of the existing fencing will need to be removed and approximately 150 feet of new fencing added.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
