Common use of Salary on Promotion or Reclassification Clause in Contracts

Salary on Promotion or Reclassification. When an employee is promoted or reclassified to a higher paying position, the employee will receive the rate corresponding to the step in the new level that is nearest to eight percent (8%) above the employee’s former salary or the minimum of the new salary level, whichever is greater, but not more than the top step of the new level.
