Common use of Salary Rate Upon Demotion Clause in Contracts

Salary Rate Upon Demotion. a. Upon involuntary demotion, the rate of pay in the lower range shall be set by the appointing authority. b. Upon demotion for failure to complete a promotional probationary period, the employee shall be placed in their former range at their previous rate, but shall be increased by any step increases the employee would have received. The resulting salary rate shall be effective on the date of demotion. c.
