Common use of Scheduled Overtime Clause in Contracts

Scheduled Overtime. If the Employer notifies an employee at or before the end of his regular shift on the preceding regularly scheduled working day before the overtime is to be worked, the Employer shall have the right to require such employee to work the overtime. Employees will be excused from working overtime, if they have an urgent or compelling reason and they shall be expected to give the Employer as much advance notice as is reasonably possible.
