School Holidays. As the Board develops and approves the school calendar, it shall include the following holidays and the minimum days listed: Labor Day 1 school day Thanksgiving 2 school days Memorial Day 1 school day Christmas Break 8 calendar days Spring Break 4 school days Good Friday 1 school day (Spring Break - approved 9-12-94) Spring Break shall be scheduled concurrently with “Buffer” week. If Good Friday falls in that week, the following Monday shall be scheduled as a holiday in addition to Spring Break. (Approved 6-11-12)

School Holidays. Custodial and maintenance employees are expected to work on days when schools are closed for teachers' convention, winter recess, and spring vacation if they are on active duty assignment status during these days. Persons absent on those days shall be considered on a without pay status unless they are on approved annual leave or sick leave.
