Section 1 - Introduction. A Partnership Peer Assistance Program (PPAP) shall be maintained. The Association and the District are continuously striving to provide the highest quality education possible. In order for students to succeed in learning, teachers must succeed in teaching. The purpose of the Partnership Peer Assistance Program is to improve the quality of instruction through peer assistance and professional development. Classroom teachers referred to or who volunteer to participate in the Partnership Program are viewed as valuable professionals who deserve to have the best resources available provided to them in the interest of improving performance. The intent of the program is to establish a critical feedback mechanism for exemplary teachers to assist veteran teachers in subject matter knowledge and teaching strategies.
