Selection of Applicant. The Employer is committed to the talent that exists within the members of the bargaining unit. Consideration of bargaining unit employees, therefore, shall be given by the Employer.

Selection of Applicant. Members who desire a transfer in the upcoming school year shall file requests on a "Request for Transfer Form " with the District Office between May 1 and May 30 each school year. These requests would be for preferred work sites for the same, or fewer, number of hours which may become vacant during July 1 and June 30 of the following school year. The “Request for Transfer Form” will be sent from the District Office via email and can be turned in electronically or at the District Office care of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

The senior bargaining unit employee making application shall be transferred to fill the vacant or newly created position provided that the employee has the necessary qualifications, or may be able to obtain the necessary qualifications with up to ten (10) hours of training; to acquire the ability to perform the job. Upon completion of the training period provided, the employee’s immediate supervisor shall make the determination of whether or not the necessary qualifications have been met. This determination may be appealed, by the Union to the Superintendent of the school district for final determination. The Employer shall notify all of the applicants in writing within five (5) working days from the date of the selection of the employee who has been awarded the permanent vacancy or newly created position. The employee who is awarded the vacant or newly created position shall be placed in the vacant or newly created position within 10 working days from his/her selection.
Selection of Applicant. All qualified Teachers shall be given adequate opportunity to make application and no position shall be filled until all properly submitted applications have been considered. Announcements of appointments shall be made by letter to each applicant and to the Association indicating the position filled and by whom.
